Let’s take a look into the future.
Welcome to 2022…a new year with new opportunities.
Last year you worked so hard on skills to improve. You built better habits. You even became more disciplined.
But what about your mindset? Did you spend enough time on that “soft skill”?
I say soft skill because growing our mindset isn’t typically measurable. It’s not something we can touch and feel. But it is something that effects everything we touch and feel (and least the stuff that matters to us).
This year, you are going to bulletproof your mindset.
Here are 3 areas you can focus on to improve your mindset.
- Obstacles – dead-ends or opportunities. If you see them as deadends, you likely stop, procrastinate, or find a way to make it easier. But if you see them as opportunities, you will find a way to overcome, succeed when others fail, or use the hard thing to outwork the laggers.
- Criticism – anger or opportunity. You will be either frustrated every time you hear negative feedback or you will look at it as an opportunity to grow. Even if there are 10 things somebody says negatively about you and 9 of them are untrue, there is 1 truthful statement in there that you and I can learn from, that we can grow in, and we will get better.
- Effort – hardly working or working hard. Most people say that they work hard. But when it comes down to it, they’re not willing to do the hard things that are required in order to be successful. Put in the hard work, do more than what is required of you, and show everybody else (and yourself) that you are the best at what you do.
Hopefully, you’ve reflected on 2021 and are prepared to make 2022 the best year yet!
