It is a fact that paying attention to what the competition is doing can become a job all in itself. What services do they offer, what price points are they at, how can they keep that client? While those are important pieces of information, they may be holding you back.
Instead of chasing the competition, we must put more time and energy into what we do best. Some of these things may be the same as the competition while others completely set us apart. But the truth is, none of us have perfected our offerings because if we did we would own our market (and you wouldn’t need to read this blog). Get deep into what you do. What makes your services a fit for your client? What can you do to improve on those services for the sake of your client? Why are you in the market to begin with?
It sounds basic, but it is just too easy to get ahead of ourselves. Take some time to evaluate you and your business. I bet you will be surprised at what you find.
