You Are a Soldier in the Lord's Army

We are at war. Every single day. Most men forget it until the moment they drop their guard.

What This Episode Covers

Recorded live in front of a room of men at the Men of Greatness Ohio retreat. Ryan starts with 1 Corinthians 16:13. Paul wrote it to a church that was a train wreck, and he told its leaders to be men and fight. Ryan has huge honor for those who serve in the military, and he says there's a greater battle than any of them fight. Every man of God is called into it.

He tells the story of a night at a conference when a buddy was headed somewhere he shouldn't go, and Ryan hesitated. Another man tapped him on the shoulder and said, "We have to do something about that." Then he shares what the Route 91 shooting in Las Vegas taught him about wartime mode.

Key Takeaways

Name where your guard drops: the phone, the business trip, the client relationship that gets too close.
On your own you lose that fight most of the time. You need a fellow soldier who goes to war first.
If God is for you, who can be against you? You're living into a victory Christ already won.
There are no off days. Wake up like it's life or death.
